Amenities

 

NEW  Air conditioning - We installed Air conditioning  in the bedroom in July of 2016.

 

stove, oven,  microwave, cast iron griddle, cake and muffin pans, rolling pin, chefs knives, coffee maker,  iron, blender, pantry items,  washing machine,  dryer, parking, stereo, games books.

 

We do offer Limited WIFI -  We have an AT&T hot spot set up at the house.  This can be used for surfing the net and checking email but we do have a monthly limit so ask that you do not stream music or videos.

 

Communication

Cell phone Coverage

 

VOICE coverage  is good for any carrier on most of the island. We get 5 bars on AT&T at Jose's Paradise (cell phone tower is in the distance)

 

DATA

If you are an AT&T customer  4G LTE  technology was recently installed on the island. If you have a smart phone, tablet with 4g LTE,  or hot spot the internet speed is impressive!  NO ROAMING FEES!

Some useful Quick Info...

 

Getting to Vieques from the main island - You can get to Vieques by ferry in the town of Fajardo or by taking a short flight from Puerto Rico.  We strongly recommend flying.  Click here for more info.

 

Cash - Our advice get to the ATM machine EARLY or wait till later. Currency is U.S. Dollars. There is one 24 hour ATM machine located at Banco Popular on Main Street in Isabel Segunda. Most businesses take visa and mastercard.

 

 

Rental Cars - reserve a car early click here for more info.  You really do need a car while on the island!

 

Gas - There are only two gas stations in Vieques and they are located on Ruta 200.  Gas is brought in from the main island of Puerto Rico and there are times that the island runs out for various reasons, on top of that lines can get really long at times, when you drive by and you don’t see a line, fill it up.

 

Food

Two larger grocery stores on the island - Supermercado Morales

Smaller store Colmado Mambo at the end of our road - great store with a little bit of everything!
